The Kwantlen University Chorus closes the 2016-2017 concert year with Johannes Brahms powerful and moving “Ein deutsches Requiem", Op. 45 (A German Requiem). Director Gail Suderman has once again invited Mark Ferris, Vancouver Opera Orchestra concertmaster, to bring together some of Vancouver’s finest musicians to play in the orchestra.

​Brahms stated his intention was to write a Requiem as a comfort for the living rather than the souls of the dead, and throughout this masterpiece work, he brings that sense of comfort through the beauty and majesty of the music.
